At North Downs we use Tapestry as a way to record, track and share a child’s learning during their time in Reception.  Parents are able to access any photos, videos, observations and comments that will be uploaded by the EYFS staff during the year.

The new EYFS curriculum which was introduced in September 2021, focuses on more time interacting with the children, teaching them through child-initiated activities, rather than spending time completing written observations. Examples of really significant learning will be shared on Tapestry, along with group observations.

However, parents or carers still have the opportunity to share photos and videos of activities and learning they do at home which we really enjoy seeing and discussing with the children.
